Mr. Anwar H. Ansari, State Counsel alongwith SIP Bashir Ahmed Mallah SHO P.S. Jhirk, Raja Navid SHO and ASI Abdul Majeed P.S. Matli.

This petition is pending since August, 2013 with the prayer that respondents No.4 and 5 may be restrained not to cause any harassment to the petitioner on the instance of respondents No.6 to 9. It is further prayed that legal protection may be provided to the petitioner by the respondents No.2 and 3.

Nobody is present for the petitioner. Learned State Counsel has filed comments for respondents No.1, 3 and 4. So far as the question of harassment is concerned no government official has any authority to act in violation of law and in this case also the respondents No.2 and 3 cannot act in contravention of law, but it is their obligation to act strictly in accordance with law. The prayer for providing protection can only be considered when the petitioner will approach the concerned authority for seeking protection. The petitioner may approach to the concerned authority for providing the protection in accordance with law.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
