1.         Urgency granted.

            Petitioner has claimed that he has Degree of Masters in Horticulture and he is entitled to be appointed as Director (Parks & Horticulture) in the Parks & Horticulture Department of City District Government Karachi. He has also prayed that respondent No.6 due to lack of his academic qualification is not entitled to be promoted as Director (Parks & Horticulture). Today Mr.Shabbir Ahmed Awan has also placed copy of Letter dated 22nd May, 2014 written by Section Officer-V, Local Government Department, Government of Sindh, to Administrator, KMC, Karachi whereby respondent No.6 has been relieved to report to DMC (West) Karachi and committee has been constituted to enquire into the illegal posting/promotion including drawl of salary against post of BPS-19. Learned counsel for KMC also confirms that such letter has been issued. So far as case of petitioner is concerned, learned counsel for KMC submits that at present, petitioner is senior officer and he has Masters Degree and his case is under process for consideration of his promotion. Learned counsel for petitioner is satisfied with this statement. However, he submits that some time may be fixed for consideration of his case. Petition is disposed of alongwith pending application, with the directions to respondent No.3 to process the case of petitioner for promotion to the competent authority within a period of two months.
