            Total eighty-nine petitioners have filed this petition for regularization of their services as they are working for last many months on contract basis. They also prayed that their unpaid salary may also be paid to them. Learned counsel for petitioners filed a statement on 12.02.2013 with which he has also attached a copy of Office Memorandum dated January 21, 2013 which are the Minutes of Meeting of Cabinet Sub-Committee focused on regularization of contract/daily wages employees in the Ministries/ Divisions/Attached Departments/Autonomous Bodies/ Organizations. In Para-2 of Minutes, a decision was taken in the Meeting for regularization of services of contractual/daily wages employees who have completed one year of contractual service or 3-spells of 89 days as daily wage workers up till 31.12.2012. In the minutes of meeting, names of employees are also mentioned province wise. In the list of Province of Sindh, names of 72 employees are mentioned for regularization of their job. Authenticity and veracity of Minutes of Meeting attached with statement has been confirmed by learned Standing Counsel who confirmed that decision has already been taken and process will be completed soon. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that names of some petitioners are not mentioned for which they will apply afresh to the competent authority in accordance with law for consideration of their cases also for regularization of their services. However, at present he is satisfied that petition may be disposed of in the light of Minutes of Meeting. He further submits that directions may be given for payment of unpaid salary to petitioners.

By consent, this petition is disposed of with the directions to respondent No.22 to 23 to expedite the process for issuance of notification within reasonable period of time for the regularization of services of employees mentioned in the list of Province of Sindh. Unpaid salary, if any, will also be paid to them.
