The case of the petitioner is that he is son of a retired Sub-Inspector Police namely, Syed Safdar Ali Shah who was retired on 31.12.2009 from Centralized Security Headquarter CCP, Karachi. The petitioner being his son wants recruitment on the basis of Standing Order No.260/2011, which relates to the appointment on the basis of son quota in police department. Learned AAG has filed comments of respondent No.3, in paragraph No.15 of the comments it is clearly stated by the DIGP (Admn) for Additional Inspector General of Police, Karachi Range  that the petitioner was called for written test on 7.2.2013 and his result is being prepared. It is further stated that his case will be considered on merits in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order No.260/2011 on merit subject to the status of his result in the written test.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the comments this petition may be disposed of with some directions to the respondents to decide the case of the petitioner within reasonable period of time. Learned AAG has no objection if the petitioner’s case is considered in accordance with law and Standing Order No.260/2011.

The petition is disposed of accordingly, however, the respondents will decide the case of the petitioner within a period of two months.
