All the petitioners have applied the job on son quota and in view of standing order bearing No. 211 of 2007 and 260 of 2011 all the petitioners claim that they are eligible to be appointed on son quota as their fathers have completed 25 years of service or some of them have retired. Mr. Ali Sher Jakhrani, A.I.G. (Legal) has filed comments for respondents No. 1&3 in which he admitted the validity of standing orders No. 211 of 2007 and 260 of 2011. It is further stated in the comments that the cases of the petitioners have already been sent to the Additional Inspector General of Police, Karachi vide office letter No. 18586/T-7/S&S/2011 as per rules and policy.

Learned A.A.G. is of the view that the cases of the petitioners will be decided within a reasonable period of time in terms of aforesaid standing orders as stated by the A.I.G. (Legal) in his comments.

By consent this petition is disposed of with the directions to the respondents No.1&2 to decide the cases of the petitioners within a period of three months.
