Through this Constitutional Petition, petitioners have prayed for the following relief(s):

a) to direct the respondents to enlist all the petitioners in the lists of flood affectees, with further direction to the respondents to issue “Watan Cards” in favour of the petitioners as the villages of the petitioners were completely destroyed in the recently passed flood;

b) to award costs of the petition;

c) to grant any other equitable and adequate relief to the petitioners which this Hon’ble Court deems proper in the circumstances of the case.

Notices were issued to the respondents as well as Addl. A. G. Comments have been filed by respondent No.5 At the very out set learned advocate for the petitioners states that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to the respondents to enlist the petitioners in the list of flood affectees in accordance with the prevailing policy of the Government. Learned State Counsel concedes to the contention, therefore, the petition stands disposed of with directions to the respondents to deal with the request of the petitioners in accordance with the law under intimation to this Court.
