Ms. Azra Muqeem, learned counsel appearing for respondents No.2, 4, 5 and 6, submits that in connected petition bearing No.D-1278 of 2011 this Court granted one week time to interveners No.1 to 12 to remove the structure and debris within a week time under the supervision of the concerned staff of the City District Government Karachi with the clarification that in case the interveners in the said petition fail to do the same, the concerned officers of City District Government Karachi shall have the same removed without loss of time and certainly not later than one week from the date of the order. She, however, concedes that still some debris are lying at the site because of lack of cooperation from the concerned police station. We would, therefore, dispose of this petition by directing the City District Government Karachi to remove all the encroachments including the debris within 10 days from today. The SSP and SSP Anti-Encroachment Cell are directed to provide adequate security to the staff of City District Government Karachi so that the above mandate be carried out effectively and safely. The City District Government Karachi shall submit compliance report before MIT-II of this Court within 15 days from today.
