The petitioner has moved this petition for seeking direction against the respondents No.4 and 5 to provide legal protection of their lives who are likely to be killed on false allegation of ‘Karo Kari’ and also direct them not to harass the petitioners at the instance of respondents No.1 to 3 and protect them from such constant harassment.

On notice the respondent No.4 has filed the statement, in which he has stated that neither the petitioners have approached the police station for their protection nor he has harassed them.

Instead of dismissing this petition in non-prosecution due to absence of the petitioners and their counsel it will serve the purpose and would be in the interest of justice to direct the respondents No.4 and 5 to provide protection to the petitioners and if and when they will approach and lodge complaint against the heinous act of ‘Karo Kari’ against any person, they will also lodge FIR and will act in accordance with the law. The respondent No.4 is also directed to contact the petitioners at their abode and record their statement and provide legal protection to them. The SHO present in Court will also file compliance report within ten days before the Additional Registrar of this Court.

With this order the petition is disposed of alongwith listed application.
