Mr. Raghib Ibrahim Junejo, advocate a/w applicant/accused

            ------------------------------------

Applicant/accused Rana Muhammad Waseem Akram son of Rana Abdul Shakoor seeks pre-arrest bail in FIR No.1065/2025, registered at P.S. Gadap City, Karachi, for offence under sections 406, 506, PPC read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Lawyers Act, 2023, after rejection of his bail plea by learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Malir Karachi vide order dated 23.01.2026.

Counsel for applicant after arguing the bail application at some length does not press the same and requests that this application may be converted to protective bail on the ground that learned trial Court has dismissed pre-arrest bail of applicant for non-prosecution, without touching the merits of the case.

In view of the above, instant criminal bail application is converted into protective bail and the applicant/accused above named is admitted to protective bail for a period of five (5) days from today, subject to his furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Applicant is directed to surrender before the concerned Court in the aforesaid period and join the investigation/trial forthwith. Learned concerned Court is directed to decide the bail application of the applicant strictly on merits and in accordance with law. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of five days from today or whenever applicant/accused surrenders before the trial Court, which one occurs earlier. It is made clear, in case, applicant/accused fails to surrender before the trial Court in the aforesaid period, his bail bond shall stand automatically forfeited.

The instant criminal bail application is accordingly disposed of.
