                        Mr. Allah Bachayo Soomro, Additional Advocate General Sindh submits a statement duly signed by AIGP/ESTT-II on behalf of Provincial Police Officer, Karachi to the effect that the Departmental Promotion Committee has recommended the promotion of the Petitioner to the rank of DSP in the meeting held on 02-03-2010 and that formal notification will be issued after the approval of the competent authority i.e Chief Minister Sindh. Being satisfied with the above and without prejudice to his claim for seniority, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, upon instructions from Petitioner, who is present in Court, does not press this petition. The petition is accordingly disposed of with the direction to the Police Department to issue the notification within a reasonable time.
