Applicant/accused
Irfan Chugtai son
of Inamul Haq, seeks protective bail in FIR No.16/2025,
registered at P.S. ANF Clifton, Karachi, for offence under sections 9(3)(ii) an
8 of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997. Learned counsel for
applicant submits that applicant is importer and he has imported Potassium
Permanganate and ANF officials conducted raid on his factory. He further
submits that applicant is a law abiding citizen and intends to surrender before
learned trial Court concerned but he apprehends his arrest at the hands of ANF
officials for mala fide reasons in order to humiliate and disgrace him,
therefore, he needs some protection.
Without touching the merits of the case, protective bail is granted to
applicant/accused above named, for a period of five (5) days from today, subject to furnishing solvent surety in
the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) and
P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court.
Applicant/accused is directed to surrender before the trial Court concerned in
the aforesaid period and join the investigation/trial forthwith. This order
shall cease to have its effect after expiry of five days from today or whenever
applicant surrenders before the trial Court, which one occurs earlier. It is
made clear, in case, applicant/accused fails to surrender before the trial
Court in the aforesaid period, his bail bond shall stands automatically
forfeited.
The instant
criminal bail application is accordingly disposed
of.
