Appellant Muhammad Aamir alias Minto son of Rana Muhammad Yasin was tried by
learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Karachi East, in Sessions Case No.507/2023,
arising out of FIR No.579/2022, registered at P.S. Shah Faisal Colony, Karachi
for offence under Section 23(1)(a) of the Sindh Arms
Act, 2013. After full dressed trial, appellant was convicted under section 23(1)(a) of the Sindh Arms Act, 2013 and sentenced to 2 years
R.I. and to pay fine Rs.5000/-, in
default whereof to undergo R.I for 7 days more. Benefit of section 382-B, Cr.PC was extended to appellant. Hence the instant
appeal.
Jail roll was called from
Superintendent, District Prison and Correctional Facility Malir,
Karachi, which reveals that the appellant has served out his sentence,
including sentence in lieu of fine and has been released from jail on 06.04.2024.
Thereafter, appellant has never approached this Court to contest his appeal on
merits, which shows that he is are not interested to contest his appeal.
Therefore, instant criminal appeal is dismissed as having become infructuous.
