This acquittal appeal was filed on
15.09.2022. Record reflects that after issuance of notice to other side,
counsel for appellant did not appear on 22.02.2023, 24.08.2023, 23.08.2024 and
14.03.2024. Even today, neither the appellant nor his counsel is in attendance
and Mr. Zameer Ali, advocate holds brief for Mr. Liaquat Ali Khaskheli, counsel
for appellant, and states that latter is out of station. Record further
reflects that Mr. Zamir Ali, advocate has
continuously held brief for Mr. Liaquat Ali Khaskheli on
24.08.2023, 23.08.2024 and 14.03.2025. On the last date of hearing, matter was
adjourned with note of caution to the counsel for appellant to come prepared
for arguments but today he has chosen to remained
absent. Continuous absence of appellant and his counsel shows that they have
lost interest to pursue the instant appeal. Therefore, instant criminal
acquittal appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution.
