This is an application for reduction
of surety amount. Notice was issued to the P.G. It is inter-alia contended that
applicant Siraj was granted bail by this Court vide order dated 09.10.2024 in
the sum of Rs.200,000/- and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of Nazir
of this Court in Crime No.614/2023 for offences under Sections 392, 397, 34 PPC
registered at P.S Surjani Town, Karachi. Counsel for the applicant submits that
applicant is poor person, as such he could not arrange
such surety. Therefore, surety amount may be reduced to some reasonable extent.
Addl. P.G recorded no objection for
reduction of surety amount to some reasonable extent.
It appears that bail has been
granted to the applicant by this Court vide order dated 09.10.2024. Since two months have been passed, but applicant could not furnish
surety. Ground raised for reduction of surety amount is that applicant
is poor person and he is unable to arrange such surety.
In these circumstances, looking to
the liberty of the person, surety amount is reduced from Rs.200,000/- to Rs.100,000/- and P.R bond in the like amount to
the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Applicant for reduction of surety
amount is disposed of in the above terms.
