      The Assistant Secretary present states that the Secretary Board of Revenue is on ex-Pakistan leave and there is no Deputy Secretary and he is next to the Secretary in the Board of Revenue. He states that the D.C.O present is competent authority to issue appointment letters to the petitioners and the Board of Revenue has no role to play.

      The D.C.O and the E.D.O (Revenue) state that in view of the statement of the Assistant Secretary, Board of Revenue, they will issue appointment letters to the petitioners who are already working in the Department as junior clerks. The persons who are also working in the Department in the same cadre shall also be issued appointment letters.

      This petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
