            It is jointly stated by the counsel for the petitioner and counsel for Municipality that the matter was referred to the Government but no decision has been taken so far. We direct Secretary Local Government to undertake this exercise and decide the issue involved in these proceedings within eight (8) weeks from the date of communication of this order and report compliance.

            Till the Government decides the issue the respondents will not interfere in the possession of the petitioner.

            This petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
