4. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed by the respondents as Primary School Teacher on contract basis in year 2014, since then he is not being paid his salaries, therefore, they be directed not to take any adverse action against the petitioner and release his salaries. On asking, it was stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that after expiry of contract period, no formal order for extension of services of the petitioner has been passed by the respondents; however, he is still serving with them without pay. Expiry of contractual period with no formal order for its extension prima facie suggests that the petitioner is no more in service with the respondents, which may justify this Court to direct them to release his salaries or otherwise; consequently, the instant petition being misconceived is dismissed in limine, which even otherwise is hit by laches.
