4.                     The petitioner by way of instant petition has sought for direction against the respondents to appoint his son as Peon or Chowkidar, being donor of the plot used for School. The appointment in Civil Service is to be made on the basis of merit and not on the basis of donation of plot or otherwise; therefore, the direction sought for by the petitioner could not be issued by this Court. Consequently, the instant petition being misconceived is dismissed in limine.
