                        The petitioner by preferring the instant constitutional petition in            year 2018 has sought for his appointment as a Police Constable in Police Department for the reason that he has qualified the requisite test held in year 2008. The petitioner was denied his appointment by the respondents for the reason that he was having criminal record. As per learned counsel for the petitioner; the petitioner now has been acquitted in all criminal cases pending against him. Subsequently acquittal of the petitioner in criminal case, if any, could hardly makes him eligible for his appointment in police service retrospectively. Consequently, the instant constitutional petition is dismissed, which even otherwise is hit by laches miserably.
