            The appellant after due trial has been convicted and sentenced under section 161 PPC and Section 5(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act-II, 1947,   to undergo aggregate imprisonment, which is spreading over three years with fine and with benefit of Section 382-B Cr.PC, by learned Special Judge Anti-Corruption (Provincial), Larkana, vide judgment dated 26.10.2021, which is impugned by the appellant by preferring an appeal, which has been admitted to regular hearing and in the meanwhile, he has sought for suspension of his sentence and his release on bail, mainly for the reason that the sentence awarded to him is short one; hearing of appeal is likely to take time and he was also enjoying the concession of bail at trial, which is not opposed either by learned Asstt.P.G for the State  or by the complainant.

            Heard and perused the record.

            In view of above, while relying upon case of Abdul Hameed Vs. Muhammad Abdullah and others (1999 SCMR 2589), the sentence awarded to the appellant is suspended, consequently, he is admitted to bail subject to his furnishing surety in sum of Rs.50,000/- and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of Additional Registrar of this Court.

                        The listed application M.A. No.5966/2021 is disposed of accordingly. The Criminal Appeal is adjourned to date in office.
