Applicant/accused Muhammad Tahir son of Barkat Ali seeks protective bail in F.I.R. No.05/2019, registered at P.S. FIA, Anti-Corruption Circle, Karachi for offence under section 27 of the Drugs Act, 1976.

It is inter alia contended that applicant/accused is prepared to surrender before the trial court but apprehends his arrest at the hands of FIA for mala fide reasons.

Without touching the merits of the case, protective bail for a period of four (4) days from today is granted to applicant/accused Muhammad Tahir son of Barkat Ali, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.100,000/- (Rupees One Hundred Thousand) and P.R. bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Applicant/accused is directed to surrender before the trial court, in the aforesaid period. He is also directed to join the investigation. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of four days from today or whenever the applicant/accused surrenders before the Court, which one occurs earlier. It is made clear in case applicant/accused fails to surrender before the trial court in the aforesaid period his bail bond shall stands forfeited.

Application is accordingly disposed of.
