3. Applicant Amjad Karim Ansari seeks protective bail in Crime No. 373 of 2017 under section 385/386/34 PPC read with section 7 Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 registered with Police Station Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. Learned counsel next submits that the applicant intends to surrender before the concerned court but due to issuance of NBWs against him, having apprehension of maltreatment, disgrace, humiliation from the hands of investigating agency, if arrested, he has approached this Court for grant of protection and suspension of NBWs issued against him by the trial court.
Be that as it may, without touching the merits and demerits of the case protective bail for ten days from today is granted to the applicant subject to his furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lac only) and P.R.Bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this court; meanwhile the operation NBWs is suspended.
This concession of protective bail shall cease to have force on 19.05.2018 or when the applicant surrenders himself before the concerned court, whichever is earlier.
This bail application stands disposed of in the above terms.
