This petition under Article 199 of the Constitution has been filed by the petitioners for seeking protection against Respondents 4 and 5.

On notice, SIP Khalid Mehmood is present and files comments on behalf of Respondents 3 and 4, which are taken on record, whereby they have denied the allegations leveled against them in this petition.

Mr. M. Nawab Mirza, learned State Counsel on behalf of the official respondents submits that neither they harassed the petitioners nor they intend to do so in future. He further undertakes on behalf of them that they will certainly act in accordance with law and provide protection to the petitioners as and when they approach them.

Learned counsel for the petitioner being satisfied with the above statement, requests for disposal of instant petition, on the above terms.

In the above circumstances, instant petition is disposed with directions to Respondent No. 4, SHO, P.S. Sir Syed to provide legal protection to the petitioners especially against Respondent No. 5 as and when they approach them and to act in the matter strictly in accordance with law and not to indulge in any illegal activity.
