Muhammad Ali Mazhar, J: The case of the petitioner is that his father was employed in Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh as Assistant Engineer (Civil), B.S-17 who expired on 18.09.2013, copy of his death certificate is attached as annexure P-5, at page 21. The petitioner claims that he holds Master Degree and he is also Bachelors of Education, qualified Computer Operator and Stenographer. The petitioner applied for the job on deceased son quota basis but his application is pending. However, on 07.07.2014, a summary was moved to the Chief Minister, Sindh for the appointment of the petitioner against deceased son quota to any suitable post. Copy of summary is attached as annexure P-12, at page 35. In the summary moved by Secretary, Irrigation Department to the Chief Minister, Sindh, he has also given the reference of Rule 11-A of Sindh Civil Servant (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1974. The request has also been made that petitioner may be appointed on any suitable post in the Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh. After seeing the copy of summary available in the court’s file, learned A.A.G proposed that the petition may be disposed of with some directions to the Secretary, Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh to expedite the process so that the summary may be approved or any other order may be passed on it in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioner is satisfied. Petition is disposed of accordingly. However, the Secretary, Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh is directed to expedite and make ensure that orders on summary will be passed within three (03) months.
