Muhammad Ali Mazhar, J: The petitioner has challenged the Notification dated 12.12.2012 whereby the Registrar, Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Sindh relieved her from all additional assignments with immediate effect and she was advised to conduct research and teaching full time in the department of Pathology. It appears that the petitioner failed to comply with this order, therefore, on 13.05.2013, a notice was issued to her on the ground that petitioner failed to report to Pathology Department which amounts to misconduct. She was again directed to report for duty to the Chairman, Department of Pathology with immediate effect to avoid stern disciplinary action under the disciplinary rules of the University.

2.      To work on the additional assignments is not a vested right and if the petitioner was relieved from additional assignments, this cannot become the subject  matter  of   writ  petition  in  this

court. It is not the case that the petitioner was terminated or dismissed from the service or any term and condition of the service was changed detrimental to her future or career but she was simply called upon to focus on research and teaching full time in the Pathology Department which direction given by the department does not seem to be unlawful or illegal and does not require any interference by this court. The petition is dismissed alongwith pending application.
