Muhammad Ali Mazhar, J: The petitioner has prayed to this court that the respondents Nos.2 to 4 are legally bound                    to prepare working paper of the petitioner for onward submission to the Competent Authority for considering his promotion             to BPS-20.

2.      The learned counsel for the respondents Nos. 2 to 4 submits that comments were filed but the same are not available in the case file, however, he has submitted photocopy of comments duly signed by the learned counsel and the representative of the Port Qasim Authority (PQA). He invited our attention to paragraph 14(i) of the comments in which clear assurance has been given that case of the petitioner in BS-20 will be considered through Selection Board alongwith the others in accordance with the rules/regulations after de-notification of Revised PESR, 2011 which is under process. It is further         stated  that  no  discrimination/prejudice  shall  be caused to the

petitioner. It is further stated in clause (ii) of the comments that no officer junior to the petitioner has been ordered to be promoted in BS-20. After seeing this clear undertaking, the learned counsel for the petitioner is satisfied but he requests that some timeframe may be fixed for convening the meeting of Selection Board and in this regard he also submitted the copy of the order passed by this court in C.P.No.D-1465/2012 in which the PQA was the respondent and for similar consideration the learned Division Bench directed to convene the meeting within a period of three months.

3.      After filing the comments, the parties are not at issue, therefore, this petition is disposed of accordingly. The PQA shall ensure that the meeting of Selection Board is convened preferably within a period of three months. Pending application is also disposed of.
