        MUHAMMAD ALI MAZHAR, J: The Petitioners have prayed that they have qualified their length of services for payment of their pensionary benefits, commutations and other facilities under Section 36 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act, 1996.

 

          Today, various Petitions are fixed with identical prayers at Sr. Nos. 45 in Main Cause List, at Sr. Nos.9 (Note. These are fresh petitions but learned counsel for the P.T.C.L. has waived notice and petitions numbers are also mentioned in the statement in advance), Sr. No. 18, 19 and 20 in the Additional Cause List and C.P No.D-6097 of 2015 and C.P No.D-4792 of 2016 in Supplementary Cause List. Earlier also, similar and identical petitions were disposed off by this Court vide Order dated 16.05.2016 and 29.09.2016. In the same lines, the learned counsel for Respondent No.1 has filed a statement showing 56 petitions and it is clearly mentioned in this statement that Respondent No.1 shall consider Petitioners` cases for the payment of their pensionary benefits according to law, rules and regulations and shall decide the their cases within 180 days.  Similar statement has been filed in C.P No.D-4792 of 2016. Both the statements have been signed by learned counsel for Petitioners, learned counsel for the Respondent No.1 and Mr. S.M. Hassan Meerza, Senior Manager Legal (South) Business Zone PTCL. Since the parties have mutually agreed and settled the modality to deal with the matter of pensionary benefits amicably outside the court, therefore, by consent these petitions are disposed of alongwith pending application in terms of aforesaid statement.
