Muhammad Ali Mazhar, J:     The petitioner is in fact relying on a Notification dated 29.07.2016, issued by Secretary to Government of Sindh, Agriculture Supply & Prices Department. Through this Notification, the petitioner has been posted to serve as Secretary (BS-17), Market Committee, Karachi as a stopgap arrangement till further orders. The petitioner has prayed that the respondents be restrained not to discontinue this arrangement. In our view, the stopgap arrangement is made for some limited period and it does not confer any vested right to any person to hold this post or claim any legitimate expectation. Stopgap arrangement is meant only till such time regular induction is made. The petitioner in his prayer clause has prayed that he should not be dismissed from this job, which is in fact a wrong assumption as removal of a person from a post assigned to him as stopgap arrangement cannot be considered as dismissal from service. Learned AAG present in court, waives notice, copy has been supplied to him and he is also of the same view.

This petition is dismissed alongwith pending applications.
