Petitioner has challenged the suspension letter dated 29^th July, 2015 on the ground that it was issued without lawful authority. It is further stated that since July, 2015 this suspension order is in continuation and the disciplinary proceedings, if any, neither has been initiated nor culminated. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further pointed out a letter dated 14^th December, 2015 which was written by the Section Officer (Admn-I) for Secretary to Government of Sindh, Irrigation Department to the Chief Engineer (Irrigation) Sukkur Barrage, Left Bank Region, Sukkur as a reminder to furnish draft allegations against the petitioner. When this situation was confronted to the learned Advocate General Sindh he agrees that suspension letter was issued in 2015 and there must be some progress either to initiate disciplinary proceedings or to pass any order in accordance with law. Learned Advocate General proposed that the petition may be disposed of with some directions to the respondents to expedite the process on which the petitioner’s counsel has agreed.

In view of the above the petition is disposed of with directions to the respondents No.1 and 2 to expedite the process and if they want to initiate any disciplinary proceedings on the basis of allegations and the suspension letter they should complete the entire process within two months from the date of this order.
